National Board of Trial Advocacy Recertifies Attorney Richard Jaffe in Criminal Trial Law

The National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) has recently recertified Attorney Richard Jaffe of Jaffe, Hanle, Whisonant & Knight, P.C. in Birmingham, Alabama. He earned recertification in criminal trial law.

In order to achieve certification and recertification, an attorney must stand up to a rigorous selection process. The extent of their legal knowledge and understanding is tested with exact scrutiny during selection, leaving little to no room for error. Trial experience, peer reviews, positive standing with local and state-level bars, and participation in continuing legal education (CLE) are also weighed. By the time the NBTA selection process concludes, only the most absolutely deserving and outstanding of legal professionals will gain certification or recertification in their chose practice areas and legal specialties. At this time, it is believed that only 3% of all active attorneys in the country are board certified in any sort of specialization.

Originally earning his certification in early 1984, Attorney Richard Jaffe is actually the second lawyer in the state of Alabama to gain criminal trial law certification by the NBTA.
